NTNU NanoLab involved in new Covid-19 tests

NTNU NanoLab’s electron microscopes are used for quality control and characterisation of the magnetic nanobeads produced at NTNU for a new method for isolating Covid-19 RNA, increasing the testing capacity in Norway.
The new testing method was developed as a result of a collaboration between the Department of Chemical Engineering and the Department of Clinical and Molecular Medicine at NTNU and St. Olavs Hospital.
