Telemark county administration (Telemark fylkeskommune) invited last week to their yearly conference “Footprint Telemark”, this time in the famous Blues and old industry town of Notodden, in eastern Telemark. In the audience were industry leaders from many companies from Norway, City, County and Community authorities from Buskerud, Vestfold and Telemark and many well known politicians from the same region.

Former Norwegian Ministers Terje Riis Johansen and Ola Borten Moe held presentations related to development of future industries in Norway. HBV IMST was invited to talk about the Micro-Nano labs and the technical innovation taking place in Horten and in Norway as a whole, and what impact that may have in the coming decades related to education, applications and industry. Lab manager at HBV IMST (Høgskolen in Buskerud-Vestfold), Ole Henrik Gusland, told the 250 interested spectators about the Norfab project, NCE MNT labs, ongoing and future innovations and the MicroNano education on Bachelor, Master and PhD level as well as the corresponding industry developments taking place in the region.
