Nordic Nanolab User Meeting – NNUM 2019
May 31, 2019

The Nordic Nanolab User Meeting, NNUM2019 took place at DTU on May 7 – 8. The meeting was organized by the Nordic Nanolab Network (NNN) and constituted the fourth user meeting on a Nordic level.

The aim of NNUM is to offer a meeting place for PhD-students, post docs, researchers and engineers working in the field of nanostructuring and -characterization. The meetings address experimental issues through 20 technical tutorials covering the central disciplines of nanofabrication: etching techniques, thin film technologies, lithography and characterization. As additional inspiration, three invited speakers gave presentations of their work. The participants also had the opportunity to present their own research at a poster session. This year’s prize for the best poster was given to Anders Strømberg from NTNU for the poster: “Apparent Superpatterns in SEM Images of Small Periodic Structures”

The participants were also offered guided tours to DTU NanoLab as well as a spectacular  dinner on Tuesday evening at the Cirkus downtown in Copenhagen. Altogether 233 people, of which 55 from NorFab, attended the meeting. You may read more about NNUM2019 here.

The next meeting, NNUM2021, will be hosted by Chalmers University in Gothenburg.
