A new startup based on SINTEF MiNaLab technology
September 20, 2019

InVivo Bionics has signed a license agreement with SINTEF Technology Transfer Office to commercialize a unique technology for in-vivo pressure measurement. The first application will be pressure measurement in the bladder to help patients suffering from spinal cord injuries. The technology is based on an implantable MEMS pressure sensor developed at SINTEF MiNaLab.

After development projects in close cooperation with Sunnaas Rehabilitation Hospital with the financial support of the Research Council of Norway, the dream of a NewCo to commercialize the technology became reality. Ingelin Clausen is now leaving SINTEF MiNaLab to join InVivo Bionics and her co-founder Thomas Glott from Sunnaas Rehabilitation Hospital.
