A National Infrastructure for Micro- and Nanofabrication: An asset for Health Startups

On Monday, June 18 NorFab and ALEAP, the largest incubator for health startups in Norway, organized a matchmaking event at Forskningsparken in Oslo. The purpose of the event was to present the national infrastructure for micro- and nanofabrication as an asset for health startups.
 
The event started with short introductions by Alexandra Bech Gjørv, CEO at SINTEF, and Kristin Vinje, Vice Dean at Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences at the University of Oslo. After this, scientists from NorFab and startups representatives had the opportunities to present to each other their competence, needs and ambitions. Aase Marie Hundere from the Research Council of Norway presented the coming public funding opportunities.
 
More than 40 participants attended the event and many contacts were established and follow-up meetings scheduled. NorFab has the ambition to become a national key player in the field medical technology and the event was a successful milestone in that direction.
